Founded in Johannesburg in 2007, Imagofilm Productions began life as a close corporation, operated for years under the name iFilm, and rebranded as Imagofilm Productions in 2021 — carrying nearly two decades of hands-on production practice into its current name.
Craft across departments, not around them.
Imagofilm's work spans directing, cinematography, editing, producing and re-recording mixing — often on the same production. That range comes from necessity as much as ambition: independent South African film is made by people willing to carry a project through more than one department, and to protect its voice at every handoff.
We work in DaVinci Resolve for picture, colour and DCP mastering, and in Pro Tools for sound — building deliverables that meet the technical bar of theatrical exhibition, from encrypted DCPs and KDM issuance to immersive 7.1.4 mixes.
